I am a Catholic SAHM to two kids and three babies in Heaven. I like to write about Catholicism, homemaking, being a Mom, living with three mental disorders, and the like. (more?)

Rough and tumble times

I’ve got a mild sinus Issue going on, resulting in a delightful headache. Hot tea seems to be helping, though.

It seems that the more I resolve to eradicate certain things, the more that the Evil One kicks up the resistance and the temptations. One of the best things is to put the Light of Christ on them, the Evil One can’t handle that and flees. Confession is also good for getting things out and getting advice on how to deal with things.

Sometimes God lets us experience things for a number of reasons. For me, it’s either to get me to realize His way is the best way, or to strengthen me. He never gives me more than I can handle, so when things are rough and tumble I just have to keep hanging on to the Cross and trust that He will get me through it. He always has, and always will. We all have the demons to fight — no one is immune, at least; no one on earth is.

Spiritual warfare has been a reoccurring theme this year, and I really don’t expect it to go away. All I can do is trust and pray, pray, pray.
