I am quite happy to report that I have some good news concerning the Benedictine Oblates. The Oblate Director and I have found a good balance to be able to make me a full Oblate while being so far from the Community, but still including the Community in it. Since I can’t physically make it to the Monastery, it’s best for a local priest here to do the Rite of Oblation. I asked Monsignor already and he said he would be more than happy to perform the Rite. 
The next time I am able to go to the Monastery I will renew the Oblation with them. A good compromise, I think.
I am waiting for Fr. H to send the medal and details about the Rite so I can give them to Monsignor and we’ll then set a date. Yay! Please keep me in your prayers during this time. I am quite excited and grateful!
