Greg and I are all moved in to the bedroom area of our apartment. :) I am so excited and grateful to be finished with the temporary housing. Our new bed is incredibly comfortable – even Elise seems to like it: she’s not as active in the nights (but plenty active in the daytime).

Greg is back to the drawing board with regards to jobs. Apparently the job from the Road People – well, the letter got lost in the mail or something. He finally got someone to tell him that he was not selected for the job. And the job for the History People – they apparently send out rejection letters after they make a decision. They just did and no, he was not the one they selected. We’re waiting on another job to hear back from, but anymore we’ve decided that if we don’t hear SOMETHING from various employers within a week, to move on and keep on applying. I know that Greg will get a job soon, it’s just a matter of keeping the faith. I’ve been asking the Blessed Virgin and the Saints in Heaven for their intercession. I know something will happen soon. In the interim, it’s pretty impressive how we’ve been taken care of while we keep looking.

I’ve been quite nourished by going to daily Mass ever since we moved up here. Monsignor gave a wonderful homily last week about how God gives us free will, while the other side gives us no choice and enslaves us to sin. Reflecting on last week and this week (so far), it’s quiet uncanny how well Monsignor’s homily fits my life. There are things going on that definitely enslave me – especially at night – I can’t stop thinking about them and whatnot. My Confession on Saturday definitely helped out with eradicating my initial reaction these situations. I’ve done what I can and it’s time to let go and move on.

This week Fr. G (who will be transferring soon) has been giving amazing homilies discussing the Covenant made between God and us – the responsibilities and the privileges. We are baptized into Christ and we partake in His Body and Blood in the Eucharist. We have responsibilities by entering into such a covenant but also what we gain from it (eternal life). Today Fr. G elaborated further about how we are all apart of the priesthood as mentioned by St. Peter, which is different from the ordained priesthood. Fr. G and other ordained priests offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on our behalf – we offer up spiritual sacrifices for others. :) I would like to offer up the frustration from Greg’s job hunting for a special intention.

At any rate, it’s time to head to bed. But here’s the belly picture that Greg took earlier tonight. You can see Elise’s bassinet beside me, complete with a ton of stuffed animals. Don’t worry, we’ll be removing the stuffed animals LONG before we put Elise in there.
