36 week check-up

Thanks everyone for your prayers. Today’s appointment went peachy keen. I spent about 10 minutes whining to my doctor about how I’ve been feeling – unfortunately, the fatigue, nausea, mood swings, pressure, aches, pains, insomnia, and so forth is normal. ::sigh:: Our little rib-tickler is still content and growing like a weed.
Dr. M did notice that her head is like, way way way down in my pelvis. Okay, so he said “way down”, but still.
Her bum is still under my diaphragm. As long as I can breathe better – which I have been – I’m content. Even if it means I have like, no lap left anymore.
My blood pressure is good, her heartrate is perfect, all the output is fine, I’ve neither gained nor lost weight, and we go back next week for week 37. Still no internal checks, which quite frankly; I’m thankful for. He did do the Group B Strep test, which went quickly. I think that’s the last check thingy to do before labor begins (not counting internal checks and the like). It’s nice to be done with swabs and needles for the time being.
I think I’m going to retire to bed and rest more. It’d be nice if I slept, but just relaxing is much needed!

yey, good to hear all is perfect!
We have a different maternity health-care experience here in England. Basically pregnant women never seen a doctor (obstetrician or anyone else) if they have a normal uncomplicated pregnancy.
They see a midwife however every month, then every 2 weeks, then every week as they get closer to the birth who does blood pressure, urine dipstick, doppler, blood tests and internal checks. A midwife is like a doula/nurse type person with special training and qualification solely in pregnancy labour and delivery.
Just for interest!!

Whew, was worried after reading that last post! Glad to hear things are still progressing well, minus the sleeping issues of course..
Hugs,
