While Greg and I were up taking care of my mom, she very happily dumped her fleece scraps on me. Apparently the crafty gene is apart of the family, because my mom has been churning out no-sew fleece blankets for a while. I’m actually really proud of her – she started off making them from kits, and has since graduated into doing it herself. She has much more choice in fleece and size, which I know makes her happy. If you’re related to me in ANY FORM (marriage, blood, being a friend of the family for a while), chances are you will get a blanket from her that is actually customized to your height and your interests. I have one, Elise already has one, Greg’s mom has one, I know of an uncle that’s getting a ginormous one (because he’s like, 11 feet tall), all of her sisters.
I’m sure her making the blankets is helping her mentally (that whole fighting boredom and accomplishing things part) but also physically with her Parkinson’s. They are no sew, but the two layers of fleece tie the whole way around. So, she has to do a lot of measuring, cutting, and tieing.
ANYWAYS.
She has some scraps of fleece and handed them down to me. I thought I could turn them into cloth diaper covers or something but they are too small in one dimension for the patterns I’m using.
I have:
1 scrap that is 14.5 inches by 59 inches
1 scrap that is 17 inches by 60 inches
4 squares that are 6.5 inches by 7 inches
4 squares that are 7.5 inches by 7 inches.
Baby wipes are a possibility with the fleece squares. But the huge fleece scraps – I’d like to get that used up.
Does anyone have any good patterns for diaper covers that I could use those huge fleece scraps on? Or anything else I could use fleece on?

Friar, I’m impressed you got all caught up.
I’ve also approved the comments you posted on earlier entries that were automatically held for my review.
I like the small animal idea – I think that’s what I’ll try!
Hmm, that’s a thought. I wish I knew how to quilt – maybe this is a good way to start!
I may do the stuffed animal idea )or at least, stuffed geometric shapes). My aunt also has about 6 cats, so I may check with her re: catnip and see if her kitties would be interested in a catnip stuffed thingy.
Thanks for the suggestions!
I’d go with the small animals for Elise to hug and play with!! (YAY!! All caught up!! Time to post more!!
)
In Christ,

Deb is right; tis good stuffing for pillows and other crafts. Another wee thought: you can attach it to the quilt squares.
Sorry I am too lazy to bother picturing the correct sizes in my head… but could you use them to make some small pillows… or “stuffed animals” that Elise can hug… Know anyone with a cat? Make some cat toys?
