New blogs to my blog-list

Some new blogs that I’ve been reading as of late:

- Faith and Family Live!. To be honest, I’ve never heard of the magazine, Faith and Family. However, after spending some time at the blog associated with the magazine, I’m really impressed. I can only imagine that the magazine is just as high caliber as the blog is. While Elise isn’t born (yet), Greg and I have already decided that unless we really need money that I will basically stay at home and take care of Elise and the house while Greg works. Just call us old-fashioned or something. ;-) For me to work would basically mean that all my paychecks would be going to childcare, and we’d just rather not do that. I’ve been finding a lot of good, practical posts in Faith and Family Live!, ranging from Ways to boost energy without caffeine (with a link to an article that has 50 tips for having energy without caffeine and The Witness of Infertility as well as a cute toy for the bathtub. Pretty snazzy – faith, homemaking, kids, family, and so on. All in one location. I’m really glad I came across this blog – I feel less isolated.

- Plain Catholic in the Mountains. If you want to check out another aspect of the Catholic Church, head over to this blog. Until I saw this blog, I had no idea what a Plain Catholic was. I’m getting a better picture now. The Plain Catholic blog makes me want to just s l o w down (even though I’m not really doing a whole heckuva lot!). I really enjoy learning about all the different people that make up the Church and it just goes to show that there is room for EVERYONE in the Church. This post on patience really hits home, as I’m definitely becoming more impatient for Elise’s arrival. :P It’s a good reality check to just sit back, relax, let her bake and remember that God is taking care of her.

A breath of fresh air, that’s for sure. :)

Some day I’m planning on posting a list of the blogs I read via my feed reader. I have started a list but it needs to be updated. Story of my life, no? ;)
