So, about that job Greg applied for…

Today we found out one way or another if Greg got the position he applied for with the Diocese Poverty Mission – he did. Deo gratias! He starts Monday, which works out for us. We need to travel this weekend to attend to some business, so it’s good that he doesn’t start until Monday. [...]

34 Week Party

Amy requested an Elise Update, which I’ve fallen behind in doing. My apologies.

Today is Elise’s 34th week of baking. She’s chosen to celebrate by having constant hiccups. Based on the hiccups location, I think she’s head down (need to ask my OB about that). However, if she is head down, I think [...]

Adoration

I’ve been meaning to write about my time in Adoration on Friday, but have either lacked time and energy to do so. I like to think that I have both right now, so I may as well start writing.

Greg dropped me off at the Cathedral en route to his interview. I think [...]

Yay!

After waiting patiently (really, I was quite patient), a cardboard tube arrived in the mail for me today. Greg noticed that the return address was the University, which means one thing: my degree!

Sure enough, it was! I have the big fancy one to put in my degree holder, and a little laminated wallet [...]

Interview 1/3 – done!

Today was the first of Greg’s job interviews – this one is with the Poverty Mission people. I spent the time he was interviewing in Adoration at the Cathedral. We don’t really have an idea if he got the job not – apparently the interviewing committee really liked his answers (and told him such) [...]

St. Benedict’s Day

Today is the second of St. Benedict’s feast day. Depending on who you are, it’s a feast, a memorial, or a solemnity. I’m leaning for Solemnity, but I may be a tad biased. It’s not a biggie though.

If you want some background information on him, Catholic Culture has an awesome page for him. [...]

Another one…

This morning Greg got a call from the Cathedral. It was the person who is in charge of hiring for the position in Faith Education that Greg applied for.

Come July 20th, once the position closes; he too will be calling Greg for an interview. Sounds good to us!

More sleep woes

Last night was another rough night, sleep wise. I couldn’t sleep until 5am, and then slept maybe three or four hours. :/ I’m hesitant to be taking Tylenol PM (which my OB said I could take), because I know it effects Elise. Of course, if I don’t start getting more sleep then I will [...]

Interview Goodness, Again!

Greg got called for ANOTHER interview, this time with the State. This interview is on Monday the 14th.

God is opening the floodgates, we think. Please pray for us!

Interview Goodness

Greg just got a call from the Diocese Poverty Mission – they want to interview him for the position he applied for! Deo gratias! His interview is scheduled for Friday at 11am. I find it encouraging that Friday is the Feast of St. Benedict. We’ve already called his Vocational Rehabilitation counselor to inquire about [...]
