Greg has a job interview with the State tomorrow. Hopefully, prayerfully he gets the job. I’ve been hounding Archbishop Sheen recently about a State job for Greg, and now he has an interview. Even if he doesn’t get the job, it can never hurt to have too much experience interviewing with the State. [...] I realized I am overdue for a follow-up on this entry – “Where to find a birthstone Rosary bracelet”. I was contacted by Aquinas and More who contacted the company who makes the bracelets. The good news is that within 48 hours of posting my last entry on the bracelet, a resolution was [...] It’s been almost a month since our health insurance expired. Our application at Blue Cross/Blue Shield has been in for about 3 weeks now, and we still haven’t heard if we’ve been accepted or rejected. We both think REJECTED due to my Restless Legs Syndrome and my depression nearly two years ago. If we [...] Yesterday was the kick-off for the 40 Days for Life. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s an organized effort of spending 40 days fasting and praying, and maintaining vigils at abortion mills for the end of abortion, as well as informing people just how painful abortions are for mothers and fathers, and the [...] Elise is over a month old now. Things have been less chaotic. She’s making her own routine now, which includes a glorious seven hour sleep stretch. Apparently she’s decided that the 1am feeding is a thing of the past. She prefers a 4 or 5am feeding, depending on what time she falls asleep. [...] I finally got it together enough today to take a shower (although that was required, as Elise decided to have a massive spit-up party) and set a place up where I can nurse Elise comfortably and have everything I need within arm’s reach. Elise has hit the oh-so-lovely three week growth spurt, and our [...] Today is E-bear’s three week birthday. It’s hard to believe it’s already been three weeks – a lot has changed in her (she’s already growing up too fast, sniff sniff). And naturally, a lot has changed with Greg and I. When Elise saw the pediatrician on the 25th (her due date and her [...] Today is the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It’s a celebration of the dawn of our salvation – the birth of Mary, the woman who would bear the Son of God. She would faithfully follow God’s will in her life, regardless of the cause. Christ would listen to her intercession at the Wedding [...] Greg made Elise a lovely nest this morning. She enjoyed it incredibly. Last night wasn’t nearly as sleep-deprived as prior nights – a combination of feeding a lot in the evening, lots of night nursing, and cuddles. However, she hit her “alert time” as usual around 4a – I passed her off [...] Elise is two weeks old today. Our little Twinkie is growing up so fast, but still is utterly confused about days and nights. We’re getting more clues about what’s going on in her mind – she loves to be held, all night long. If she can nurse until the break of dawn, she’s content. [...] |
