Elise and I both received some shots on Friday. The standard 2-month bonanza for Elise, and a tetanus shot for me (actually, the tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis shot). Three shots for Elise, and the rotavirus was oral. She was more upset at the rotavirus one. She still cried though at the needles, which was hard. We’re all super thrilled and grateful that about … 50 job applications and 5 interviews later (6 if you count the one outside of the traditional State sector) all in about 6 months of tons of praying, trusting, and submitting; he finally has one. We’re also [...] I got a letter yesterday in the mail, finally bearing good news – Elise and I were approved for private health insurance. And, unless the agent gave us a wrong quote/there’s been a major price increase since July 2008; it is actually affordable. Deo gratias! It does have a high deductible, but it’s not [...] I attempted to make another one of the blue flannel A-line skirts that I made while pregnant. Dismal, dismal failure. Childbirth has given me hips and I have absolutely no idea how to make skirts fit me anymore. Ironically enough, the skirt that I made while pregnant fits perfectly – I’m wearing it now. A day to remember our babies that we have lost through either miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, ectopic pregnancies, and the death of an infant.
