Not today, but it's been as cold as -30C at times. The fire hasn't been too traumatizing, just annoying. If the chimney gets too cold, when you open up the door to tend to the flame smoke comes indoors. With Elise, that makes me annoyed, even though we have an air cleaner running 24/7. The logs sometimes roll to the front of the firepit so if you were to open the door, it would fall out. When the metal expands it makes an annoying (and eerie) creaking and popping noise. UGH!
