Elise turned six months old yesterday. How exactly that happened, I’m not sure. Regardless, today was her six month appointment. She is 25 inches long and 13 pounds, 13 ounces. She’s basically doubled her birth-weight and grown about six inches (an inch a month). As she is the Queen of Sitting, her lack [...] If you could, can you please spare some prayers for Elise? Saturday night went something like this: Asleep: 10p-12:30a. Awake: 12:30a-4a. Asleep: 4a-5:30a. Awake: 5:30a-8a. Asleep: 8a-11a. Sunday morning (after some major snoozing), we peeled back her little lower lip and saw a white sliver trying to make it’s way out of her [...] Killing some time before heading out to Mass. It was snowy today, so we put her in a little snowsuit to keep her warm. Daddy and his little girl. Almost but not quite six months old. I totally wonder when she’s going to grow into those cheeks! So it’s been a while since I randomly decided to x the comments thing. I guess I owe people an explanation, at the very least. In short, I basically got too attached to the comments. I figure the best way to detach is to go cold turkey, and with one swift click; I’ve [...] Hopefully I can get this entry posted while Elise naps… I sent an email to a friend recently that included a most interesting line: without Our Lady, I doubt I would be Catholic. I find that very interesting, as in my early days of converting, Our Lady was a huge issue with me. Coming [...] Elise is beginning to get separation anxiety. It’s exhausting, because she’s also going through a growth spurt on top of everything. I will admit that I was anticipating the growth spurt and the anxiety to happen later as opposed to sooner, but I was woefully unprepared for my little angel to be my shadow [...] - Prune the daylights out of my feed reader. It’s seriously gotten entirely out of control, with a lot of blogs and sites that I just skim by. – Finish reading Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton. I’m a little halfway done, and I really want to finish it so I can read the new books [...] All is well over here. Quite well. Very well. Okay, super duper well. I received an email today from my 80-something year old Grandmother. It’s so awesome to have a way to contact her that doesn’t involve the phone – she lives on the East coast so times to chat were few and [...] Greg is going to come with me to Mass today for St. Blaise’s Feast day. Which means Elise can see her Daddy in the middle of the day, he can get his throat blessed as well, I’ll have an extra pair of hands to help with Elise, and we’re going to have a “mini-date” [...] FOR TODAY Monday, February 2nd, 2009… Outside my window… It’s still dark outside, although the sun is beginning to rise.
