Pearly Whites

Last night, when Greg and I were doing a status check of Elise’s one tooth (or, in sugary terms, toofer), we noticed a second sliver of white – her second bottom tooth. That puts her teething check at her two bottom teeth currently erupting.

Thank God, Elise got her Daddy’s tough gene, because the most she’s needed is Hyland’s Teething Tablets and cuddles. Our level of pain relief is the teething tablets, Orajel, then pain reliever; but so far haven’t needed the Orajel or pain reliever (although, we have thought about it).

And as long as we’re talking about teething, Mama’s joining Elise. I noticed I had a piece of popcorn stuck way behind my molar. Upon dislodging it I noticed a new tooth erupting – a wisdom tooth. The last time I had panoramic x-rays, it showed that this particular wisdom tooth (toofer) was going to erupt into my molar, and it was strongly recommended I get oral surgery ASAP to get it out. Obviously, being a Poor College Student With No Dental Insurance lead to me not getting the surgery. And hey, it doesn’t hurt one bit! So who knows what’s going on, but I’m hoping it will come in okay and not be a nuisance.

(Rest assured if it does start bugging me, I’m going in; I’m a massive pain weenie and would prefer it out than suffer through it).

I’ve been quite unsettled this weekend, thanks in part to events happening at my old stomping grounds and the movie we watched this weekend – Into the Wild. I don’t have an explanation for the unsettled feeling … just that it’s there. Maybe just a lot of things to process.

I have two posts going on behind the scenes that should see the light of the Internet some time soon.
