At the risk of sounding like a Simon and Garfunkel song, I’m so close to titling this post “Hello darkness, my old friend…“. Maybe it’s the weather (hello, major snowstorm) giving me some seasonal depression, which I’m prone to; or something else but I have really been off kilter for so long. It’s the [...] One of the most frustrating things right now for me is that I am in utter survival mode. Lent was incredible, even if I did beat myself up over skeletons that were coming out of my spiritual closet. Good Friday was probably the most intense experience I’ve had since giving birth to Elise. And [...] As usual when it’s not concerning me, Greg, or E-bears; details are left out. But, someone very near and dear to us is undergoing some medical testing right now. Greg and I are praying it’s nothing serious. :\ Jesus, we trust in You! Everything came back A-OK, Deo gratias!! Now that’s what I call one proud babywearing Papa. Greg and I went on a walk today on his lunch break with the little cutie in tow. It’s hard to believe she’s eight months old already. She’s developing so beautifully, every day she figures out something new, or makes a new mental [...] Can you tell the weather is changing here? Today it is a beautiful 75*F (so what, 24*C?). Elise and I took advantage of the weather and went outside. We experienced the :-O of grass for the first time, and were entranced by the roofers on the neighbor’s house with their noise. We also blew [...] Today is not only Papa Benedict’s birthday (yay!) but also the feast day of what I like to refer to as my “main patron” Saint – St. Bernadette of Lourdes. I have a patron Saint fleet that I appeal to regularly; but St. Bernadette was the first Saint who I asked intercession from. I’m [...] … I came Home. And I have not regretted it one bit, one day, nothing. Thank You God, for calling me; and giving me the inclination to LISTEN to You. People may have picked up that if there’s something I love doing, it’s reading. I was one of those nerdy bookworms in school, and I guess I still am. Most of the time if I have a problem, I try and find (and read!) a book about it. And naturally, being a Mama has [...] Christ is risen! Alleluia! I hope everyone had a wonderful Triduum and a very holy Easter Sunday. We definitely did over here, and now we have Easter for what – 50 days?
