Visiting My Spiritual Father

I think I am going to fall over with delight.
Greg, Elise, and I are going to New York … next week (!!!!). For someone who’s never been any further East than say, Indiana; this is big news. But the bigger news is that I was able to get permission to go pray in front of Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s tomb. His tomb is located in the crypt in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. Currently I’m working on hashing out the details and coordinating schedules and everything fun like that.
Long-time readers will know that both Archbishop Sheen and Mother Angelica are what I call my spiritual parents. Every time I had issues with converting, I always found my answers at that exact moment (thanks, EWTN) in both Archbishop Sheen and Mother Angelica’s programs. The good Archbishop for doctrinal matters, and Mother Angelica for the whole “this is going to change every single thing about me … how do I cope?” mentality. It happened – and still happens – so often that it’s definitely not a coincidence.
(Not to minimize my awesome Confirmation sponsor, Randy, by any means. He’s in a category all his own … for multiple reasons, hee hee!).
I don’t know if anyone has any prayer requests or anything like that, but feel free to email me if you do:
