Almighty God, As we are on the brink of a brand New Year, we thank you for all the blessings you have given us this year. Father, please forgive us for all that we have done, that we should not have done, for the things we should have done and [...] While beginning to work through the Come and See Bible Study on the Gospel of John, I had a small revelation that I tend to hold myself responsible for other people’s failures. It’s created a lot of unnecessary baggage, and I finally have gotten to the point where I’m no longer doing that. [...] I don’t know about anybody else, but it seems like after Christmas Day, everything started getting intense. Lt. BIL left today, and we’re unsure if he’ll have a chance to come home before heading out on his year-long deployment. I had my first round of physical therapy for my back this afternoon, and Greg [...] Merry Christmas! It’s officially the Twelve Days of Christmas, and Faith and Family Live! has a great article on how to celebrate each day. I’ll be printing it out and adding it to my “Faith” section of the home management binder. I hope it helps anyone else who needs some inspiration. Apparently, he was in [...] One year ago today, Elise was Baptized. She thoroughly enjoyed it. Tonight, her Baptismal candle will be lit and our Baptismal vows will be renewed. We’ll help Elise with hers, of course. HELLO CHEEKS. Looking at this picture makes me remember those nummy chunky cheeks she had. She’s grown [...] I came across in my travels on the Internet recently … I can’t remember where I got it from. :X Remind me often during this Advent season, O Lord Jesus, that You are the Light that shines in the darkness. You who came down to earth as the Greatest of All Gifts, [...] At the beginning of the month, I posted how Greg had finally received his long-prayed for IT Job. To refresh, there were three IT Jobs he interviewed – 1, 2, and 3. IT Job #2 offered him a position as a programmer, which he verbally accepted. IT Job #3 called him the day after [...] I really need to get on board with this, especially since yesterday was the Worst Day I’ve Ever Had While Pregnant. 1) Despite the fact that yesterday was the Worst Day I’ve Ever Had While Pregnant, I still managed to get the lunch dishes cleaned up and the table wiped off. 2) The first [...] |
