I am a Catholic SAHM to two kids and three babies in Heaven. I like to write about Catholicism, homemaking, being a Mom, living with three mental disorders, and the like. (more?)

This Week’s Small Successes

1.
I successfully kept Elise entertained for her marathon opthalmology appointment this morning. It was about two hours long, with about 45 minutes of waiting for her eyes to dilate and having to change my shirt out due to her having a solid burp. :X (Diagnosis: glasses, but the eye doctor didn’t want to go there yet, so in July we’ll reassess her and probably get them then. It doesn’t look like she has a lazy eye, but rather is farsighted and astigmatic more than a toddler her age should be, causing fun focusing things that LOOK like a lazy eye. Awwww. But the ophthalmologist wants to ensure it’s not a lazy eye, since there’s lazy eyes all over both sides of Greg and I’s families.).

2.
Greg and I are about halfway through this month With A Budget. We’re finding some pretty shocking things: how much we spend on gas in a month, but also how much extra we have once we’ve paid the bills. Granted, all the extra is being dumped into savings for Little One’s birth; which is great. We both wondered why we never started budgeting and stuff earlier.

3.
I have been staying on top of my Physical Therapy exercises AND wearing my delightful “bum brace” to move my sacrum. My back pain has significantly lessened, and I’ve noticed my posture is much less slouchy. :D

More small successes are right over here.
