1.
Our checkbook balances again. YAY! Considering the last time I even kept a checkbook was … well, maybe when I was 19 or 20; this is a major thing for me. I have to admit, I’m kind of intoxicated by seeing everything balance.

We finally gave our 39oz of spare change to Greg’s Mom to take to the bank for counting. It’s a long story as to why she has to do it, but after saying “Gee, we really need to get that counted and deposited at some point” for about the last year, it’s nice to actually have it done. Greg’s poor Mom lugged the container out the door this morning, so hopefully we’ll have a report on how much we saved up. I’m estimating somewhere between $60 and $75 – straight to the savings for Little One’s birth.

I actually laid down and rested yesterday. Despite the fact that all I did with the nesting energy was boil prefolds, I still was beyond worn out when Greg came home from work. So, while Elise napped I rested (since apparently I really can’t nap during the day unless I’m REALLY tired or sick). It felt good to just get off my feet and listen to the radio. I think I may finish this book that my friend sent up when Elise has her afternoon nap today.

If you did nothing else, your balancing the checkbook would impress the heck out of me. I have been in charge of our checkbook for over 20 years, and I can’t even get it to balance 6 months after opening a new account!

Awww! I’m definitely not in any position to offer advice on how to balance checkbooks, but I hope you can get it to balance at some point! :X My mom has balanced hers every month since 1971, maybe it’s genetic for me to get ours to balance (when it’s kept, that is!).
