Today is St. Scholastica’s feast day. The twin sister to St. Benedict (you know, that guy who founded the Benedictine order and I have a high regard for), she is most notably known for founding the nun compliment to St. Benedict’s monks, as well as praying for a storm to occur so her and her brother could continue to talk all things God through the night on her yearly visit to him. At least, that’s how she’s known to me.
You can find out more about St. Scholastica, including her patronage over at the SQPN’s Patron Saint Index. St. Scholastica, pray for us!
