1. Greg and I have instituted Movie Night in our house, to help Elise transition from her current bedtime to a slightly earlier one. Her late bedtime works (most nights) but we found that getting her to fall asleep about an hour earlier is even better for her. Two hours early and wakes [...] Today, as both kids were melting down (Benedict being gassy and Elise extremely overtired and not wanting to nap), I walked to the kitchen thinking “Man, I need a drink.” The first thing that popped into my mind was a strong alcoholic beverage. That’s how my day has been, hope everyone else’s has been [...] Ben weighs in this week at 12 pounds, 1 ounce (or, 5.47 kg). The first of the three month sized outfits he wears has become too small and he has rolls of fat everywhere. He also has Elise’s chipmunk cheeks, which are very kissable. He’s gained 3 pounds since he saw the ped at [...] 1. Yesterday, I took both kids on my own to two stores. And it wasn’t as bad as I was anticipating it to be. Granted, it took over 90 minutes; but hey, we got things accomplished. 2. I made a wrap for Benedict, since the Ergo + insert is a little bit [...] I’m almost ready to pull the plug on my Facebook profile for the sake of simplicity and helping me to be less narcissistic and hopefully better my relationship with God. I went through and deleted friends so that I could message family easier. It’s been really amusing watching various reactions come in from my [...] I still feel like a complete nerd. Dr. S’s nurse gave me a call back and we had a chat about poor little Benedict. He doesn’t have a rash or fever, and I don’t have any pain when I feed him. He has no diaper rash and the “white spot that can’t be wiped [...] Currently, we’re all thinking poor little Benedict is teething. He’s been having issues with nursing (popping off screaming), almost non-stop screaming, chewing on his hands/fingers/my shoulder, and has tender gums. And the white spot on his gum that can’t wiped away and is tender is also miiiiighty suspicious.
