1.
Yesterday was my 4th Catholicversary. I was received into the Church April 15, 2006. I thank God for the gift of my Conversion – I have never had a deeper relationship with Our Lord than Him truly present in the Eucharist, and so much grace God has given me in these last four years. Thank You, God for calling me, chasing after me, and bringing me Home to Your Church.

2.
On the 21st I plan on doing the 33 day preparation for the consecration to Jesus through Our Lady. I have done the consecration already but this time around to renew it, God is calling me to a deeper preparation for it. If that makes sense. The preparation should end on the feast of Mary, Help of Christians.

3.
Today is my name day, as well. St. Bernadette is my “uberpatron”, as I like to call her – I have an army of Heavenly Helpers but I really have a deep bond with St. Bernadette. She helped me understand the Communion of Saints, and has led me to Jesus in such a unique way. Praise God for such intercession.

I realize I’m totally behind on responding to comments (I did post them to the site, though). We’ve had a fun time here. Ben has been a typical newborn in a growth spurt for the past 4 days and basically needs to nurse about every 20 minutes all night long. I think he’s coming out of it as last night we actually slept for about 2-3 hours at a time. I’m still recovering from the slight sleep deprivation. I totally see the grace of God that mothers get though, I have no explanation how I can hardly sleep and still function properly in the daytime for Elise.

5.
And in case anyone suggests co-sleeping as a response to #4, we are. ;)

April 15, 2006 – the best day of my life.

This weekend, Greg and I are planning on loading up the kids (and maybe his folks) and heading down the Interstate to a National Park. I was giddy about having free admission for National Park Week, but this park has year-round free admission. Even better! Too bad we didn’t live closer to Glacier or Yellowstone, as we would totally be heading there. Regardless, I’m looking forward to the drive, time out of town, and just some good old fashioned historical fun. :D
