1.
Yesterday, I took both kids on my own to two stores. And it wasn’t as bad as I was anticipating it to be. Granted, it took over 90 minutes; but hey, we got things accomplished.

I made a wrap for Benedict, since the Ergo + insert is a little bit … much for day to day wear around the house. I bought about 5 yards of osnaburg fabric from Joann’s (see #1), washed it, cut it down to 30 inches wide, and wrapped Benedict onto me. I still need to hem it but for someone who HAS TO BE HELD RIGHT NOW ALL DAY LONG, getting him wrapped is a small success over here.
I was contemplating getting a Moby wrap, but apparently since it’s stretchy it will start sagging once Benedict gets even heavier, and I can get more mileage out of a woven wrap. Hello, osnaburg!

I deleted my Facebook page last night, and it’s impressive how much free time is opened up because of that. I knew it was a time sink, but man, it was a BIG time sink!

Congratulate more Mamas on their successes over at Faith and Family Live.

I suppose I’ll have to follow you on here then! lol.
^_^ Yes, please do follow me here!
What a GREAT list. Very inspirational for me, even with a new baby due within days? weeks? Bless you for inspiring me to keep going!!
Much love!
Thank you – I’m praying for you and your growing family!
Great successes! I totally agree with you on Facebook. I gave it up several months ago and it’s been very freeing. I started checking it a few weeks ago and once again time magically disappears when I start browsing around on it.
“time magically disappears” – YES. That was (part of) my problem with Facebook. It’s funny how much stuff I can get done during the day now that it is gone gone gone gone gone. I had a very productive weekend thanks to not having it.
#1 = you are my hero.
I need to get on LJ at home (still scared!), since I missssss you on facebook.
Re: #1 – it’s all about the carriers, baby. To be fair, Elise didn’t want to ride and I couldn’t carry both without looking and feeling like a mule; so we have one of those baby leashes for her. She loves the thing, and that was the ONLY way we could have been successful in going out. Benedict rode in his Ergo and all went swell.
Yes, totally get on LJ! Pwease?!
Well done on the Facebook thing. I had one for about a year before deciding it was delete or die
Christ is risen!
Thank you! He is Risen indeed!
Slings are awesome! And getting out with all the babies on your own is a huge success and quite a challenge.
I would be lost without some carrier, that’s for sure!
You go girl! That’s awesome about making your own wrap. I’ve told my husband I think at least once a day for the past umpteen days that when we are in a house I want to take sewing lessons, get my own machine, and make lots of super cool and uber inexpensive stuff for us:)
Happy Thursday!
Hope Pearl is feeling better after her exposure to the cats. Poor thing!
