In addition to everything else going on this week, I have been wondering about clothes for Benedict. We’re borrowing clothes from my cousin, but Benedict is in size 9 month already, and the clothes I have from her peter out around this time. Her son was also born in the Spring, so I have [...] It’s shaping up to be one of those weeks. Yesterday was by far the worst, with everyone up at dawn and refusing to nap (Elise, mainly; Benedict slept a lot yesterday). As Elise became more and more overtired, she got into more and more mischief. The high point was when somehow, the refrigerator door [...] I’ve been trying hard not to think too overly much about Greg’s surgery. The whole house is jittery about it. Our biggest concern is that Greg will look fine in terms of hydrocephalus in the hospital, but in a couple weeks (months?) end up getting it. And since there is no neurosurgeon where we [...] Here are our plans for August. These are based on whether or not Greg’s surgery is successful and how long he spends recovering in the hospital. 6 – The Transfiguration of Our Lord. Since this is the day that Greg goes under the knife, if I can pray the Luminous Mysteries; I’m calling it [...] You can tell what I’m most interested in at any point in my life by what books I read. Currently I’m on a parenting kick, so Parenting With Grace by Dr. Gregory Popcak and his wife, Lisa Popcak fits in perfectly. 1. Start working on the August feast day plans. July has been successful in that I can see what needs to be adjusted for next year and Greg really enjoys the special treats on the feast days. It turns out there has been some damage to his dura mater, which is another sign of over-drainage.
