Answered Prayers

In addition to everything else going on this week, I have been wondering about clothes for Benedict. We’re borrowing clothes from my cousin, but Benedict is in size 9 month already, and the clothes I have from her peter out around this time. Her son was also born in the Spring, so I have a lot of winter 9 month clothing; but not many pieces of summer 9 month clothing. I was thinking about when were we going to get clothes for Benedict.

The other day, Greg came home and said his co-worker had given him some clothes for Benedict, size 12 months – 2T. Perfect, I thought; this will tie us over until we have some time to get Benedict more clothes.

Once we went through all the clothes though, we both agreed that Benedict is set on clothing for the 12 month – 2T stage of his life.

We have clothes of every kind here, and about 6 pairs of shoes, as well. Tops, bottoms, shorts, swim trunks, onesies, pajamas, hooded towels (about 8 of them!), coats, jackets, bibs – even a baby sized wet suit with built in life jacket.

Hats, socks, a tag blanket, as well as some limited edition Disney lithographs and a book were also in with the clothes.

Greg and I are going to go through it all tonight and the stuff we don’t have room for we’re going to send to a friend of mine who also has a little boy.

So, thanks be to God (and Greg’s co-worker) we have a PLETHORA of clothing for Benedict clear up until well, who knows when he’ll outgrow 2T. But it should definitely get us past his first birthday, and hopefully when we do need more clothes for him, things won’t be as chaotic.
