I took this picture of some of the scenery that we pass whenever we head to The Neurosurgeon’s. I think the silo is almost 100 years old (or maybe even older). I love the contrast between the silo and the abandoned building and the clouds in the sky. Way off in the distance on the left hand side, you can see the local man-made lake that is very popular for recreationalists.
The ICP stitch site is healing up nicely, however; The Neurosurgeon wants to ensure that it is all the way healed and only removed half of the stitchings. We have to return in one week for the other half to be removed. While the stitches are in place, Greg can only wash around it with a washrag – no direct water on his head at all. Greg has been looking forward to FINALLY giving his head a good wash, but is forced to wait a wee bit longer. Poor guy. He feels like he has cradle cap, although his head is not nearly as gross as he thinks it is. But, he pointed out the last time he actually used shampoo directly on his hair was August 5th … so I see his point. I’d feel pretty grody, too.
So that’s where we’re sitting, as of now. The kids are getting really good at traveling and we’re becoming “regulars” at the hotel we stay in while we’re in town. It’s all for a good cause, naturally; but I’ll be glad when it’s all said and done.
