Still getting back into a rhythm. We had a lot of fun this week just following rabbit trails and Elise’s lead.

Elise worked on her letters with our Scrabble board – pulling each letter out of the pouch, saying what it was and the sound it makes.

Both kids made a triangle to represent the Trinity (via Catholic Icing). Bennie’s is on the left, Elise’s on the right.
(If you’re curious, the dropcloth in the picture of them coloring is an old fitted bedsheet. Covers the entire table and I can just chuck it in the wash when they’re done. Brilliant!)

And began learning basic math with DOMINOES! We’re not into fractions (yet) but Elise had a fantastic time learning the basics of adding and subtracting by using the entire tile.
Other things – Saint Stories (twice a day), helping me cook, plenty of outdoor time in the snow, a trip to the doctor’s office to watch the Great Peanut Extraction of 2012 (which meant we got to explain how I could shoot the peanut out Bennie’s nose by blowing into his mouth) and a lot of practice sharing.
