Greg and I have spent the last couple of weeks purging like we’ve never purged before. Yesterday we hauled the fruits of our purge to the local Goodwill – literally about half of our possessions. That’s the brunt of it, there are still a few small bags left to purge; but the most of [...] Guess what I’ve done all day. It involves boxes. And many trips in the car with said boxes full of stuff. And eventually emptying said boxes into our beautiful new house, and repeating the process. The City re-inspected our house this morning and signed off at about 0915. Major Dad told me at 0920, [...] After three and a half years, the end is in sight. Major Dad and Greg sat down with the City’s inspection check-list and determined what else needed to be done (that we don’t already know). The answer: nothing! The last thing we have left to do is to finish the basement drywall (it’s hung [...] We had a blast on our vacation. We went to Washington state! The last time I was there was on a highschool orchestra tour. It was nice to explore without a rigid schedule or chaperone. Our agenda was simple: relax. We did just that. We did take in some sights, checked out the local [...] Okay, let’s talk about something happy around here: This New House. We’re almost done!!! Major Dad is thinking that it could be ready for final inspection in two weeks. Oh. My. Word. All we have left to do is: * drywall the basement * install doors in master bedroom, kid’s bedroom, kid’s closet * [...] In an effort to help Elise with Being a Toddler, Greg and I created a routine chart for her. With words and pictures, she can see what she needs to do and therefore, do it. It’s cut down on selective hearing moments and our redundancy in asking. It also makes us “off the hook”, [...] Figure out a wheat-free menu plan for Elise. I checked out this book from the library and have found a lot of great recipes in it to try. Benedict’s Godmother sent us some wheat-free recipes, as well. I’ll post the menu once I figure it out. Clean up!
